Using Switchify
What is Switchify?
Switchify is an Android accessibility app that lets you control your phone or tablet using one or more switches, head movements, or facial gestures, instead of (or alongside) the touchscreen. Switchify PC is the optional Windows companion app for controlling a PC from Switchify Android. See How it works for the detail.
Who is Switchify for?
People with physical disabilities who find traditional touchscreens difficult, switch users, AAC users, anyone who needs customisable input methods on Android, and on Windows PCs when paired with Switchify PC.
What's the difference between Switchify and Switch Access by Google?
Switch Access by Google is Android's built-in switch control. It works, and it's free. Switchify offers more access techniques (item, point, and radar), optional head control and facial gestures, gesture pattern recording, long-press and stability settings, and a radial service menu designed for switch users. See For professionals for the full comparison.
Can I use Switchify and Switch Access at the same time?
You can have both installed. You enable one or the other in Android's accessibility settings. Many users keep both and pick the one that suits the task at hand.
What switches does Switchify support?
Switchify works with most adaptive switch interfaces that present themselves to Android as a keyboard or game controller (Bluetooth or USB) — including Tecla-e, Pretorian, AbleNet, and RJ Cooper. It also lets you use facial gestures (smile, wink, blink, head turn) as switches with no hardware at all. If you have a specific switch and aren't sure, email owen@switchifyapp.com.
What is Switchify PC?
Switchify PC is the Windows companion app for Switchify Android. It pairs over Bluetooth and lets your Android device control mouse, keyboard, text, media, and window actions on the PC.
How do I download Switchify PC?
You can download Switchify PC for Windows directly. See Switchify PC for setup details.
Pricing & Pro
Is Switchify free?
Yes. Every feature is in the free version. The only limit is that the accessibility service stops after one hour per session; you can restart it as many times as you like. See Pricing.
What is Switchify Pro?
Pro removes the one-hour session limit. €1/month or €20 lifetime. It also enables Pro extras such as on-device AI where supported.
Why is there a session limit on the free version?
The session limit lets Pro fund ongoing development without putting any feature behind a paywall. Free users can use Switchify for any task — they just restart the service once an hour.
How do I buy Pro?
From inside the Switchify app on Google Play. There is no web checkout.
I'm an OT / teacher / AT professional. Do I need to pay?
You can request a free promo code for Switchify Pro for evaluation and professional use. See For professionals.
Privacy & data
Does Switchify collect usage data?
Switchify can send usage events and crash reports when diagnostic sharing is enabled. It never includes the content of what you type, tap, or scan. You can choose during onboarding and change it later from Settings or the About screen inside the app. Diagnostics are handled by Timberlogs.
Is the source code public?
Yes — the Android source and PC source are on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0. See About for why.
How can I delete my account?
Open Switchify and follow the prompts in the About screen, or see Delete your account.

What Android version do I need?
