Switchify is an Android accessibility app that lets you control your phone or tablet using one or more switches or camera gestures, instead of (or alongside) the touchscreen. Switchify Remote and Switchify PC are the optional companion apps for controlling a Windows PC or Mac from your Android device. See How it works for the detail.

Switch Access by Google is Android's built-in switch control. It works, and it's free. Switchify offers more access techniques (item, point, and radar), camera gestures as switches, gesture pattern recording, long-press and stability settings, and a scannable menu designed for switch users. You can have both installed. You enable one or the other in Android's accessibility settings. Many users keep both and pick the one that suits the task at hand.

Switchify works with most adaptive switch interfaces that present themselves to Android as a keyboard or game controller (Bluetooth or USB) — including Tecla-e, Pretorian, AbleNet, and RJ Cooper. Keys on an external keyboard work as switches too. It also lets you use camera gestures (smile, left or right wink, blink, pucker, head turn) as switches with no hardware at all. Switchify PC runs on a Windows PC or Apple-silicon Mac. Switchify Remote runs on your Android device and pairs with it securely over Bluetooth. Together they let you move the pointer across monitors, click, drag, scroll, type live or as a draft, send keys and shortcuts, and switch, show, minimise, maximise or close windows. Choosing Control PC in Switchify's menu opens Remote.

Switch Forwarding sends presses and releases from external switches connected to Switchify directly to the computer. It supports up to eight switches, includes a built-in Generic keyboard profile and, on Windows, a Grid 3 profile, and lets you create mappings for keys, shortcuts, mouse actions, scrolling, and media controls. Start it from PC Switch Forwarding in Switchify's menu.

Switchify PC 1.0 is a release candidate for Windows and Apple-silicon Mac on the GitHub releases page; the previous stable Windows build is still available. Switchify Remote is in a closed test on Google Play. See Switchify PC for setup details.

Yes. Every feature is in the free version. The only limit is that the accessibility service stops after one hour per session; you can restart it as many times as you like. See Pricing.

Pro removes the one-hour session limit. €1/month or €20 lifetime. It also unlocks the on-device AI features, which need Android 11 or newer and a downloaded Gemma model that runs entirely on your device.

The session limit lets Pro fund ongoing development without putting any feature behind a paywall. Free users can use Switchify for any task — they just restart the service once an hour.

Switchify can send usage events and crash reports when diagnostic sharing is enabled. It never sends the content of your screen. You choose during onboarding and can change it later under About in Settings. Switchify PC has its own anonymous diagnostics opt-in in its Settings, and Switchify Remote keeps diagnostics on the device only. Diagnostics are handled by Timberlogs.

Yes. The menu scales with the screen: five rows per page on a narrow phone, six on a regular phone, eight on a tablet, and ten on a large tablet or foldable.
